Clubbed Foot and AFO's

On Oct 7 we went back to the Orthopedic Surgeon at Children's for our 5th visit regarding Olivia's clubbed feet.  As of Monday she had 4 rounds of weekly casting.  We did X-rays to see the progress and if Liv would have to do full 9 weeks of casting and surgery.  Much to our surprise Dr. Pring came back and said "They look amazing!"  What does that mean?  NO SURGERY!!!  NO MORE CASTS once the AFO braces are put on!!!

Our little rockstar has yet faced another obstacle and kicked its butt!  WOO HOO :D

Day 1 with Casts

This was a super tough day for Mommy but Liv had no issues whatsoever with the casts.  

After 4 Weeks of Casts 

Picture of the AFO's that Olivia will be getting.  They are custom fit so she will be in them for 1-3 months, depending on growth, before she needs new ones.  These are the same AFO's she will be using throughout most of her childhood for mobility.
